Road Runner, If He Catches You You’re Through

Actor Steve Zahn was in my studio recently, and couldn’t wait to show me his new ride, a fully restored 1971 Plymouth Road Runner.  I don’t know how much is original, but the attention to detail was phenomenal.  It’s not a completely accurate restoration, because a lot of performance parts were added.  But in my book, that’s okay.  A lot of these muscle cars didn’t stay in stock form very long after delivery.  The lines and panels on this car are better than when it rolled off the showroom floor.  The interior is perfect, with nice tuck-and-roll seats.  The dashboard has been updated.  The engine is beautiful, with high-performance parts taking the spotlight.  And the sound.  Dual Holly 4-barrels with glass-pack mufflers give it a nice road-eating throaty sound.
